REMMY ROBERTS

Breathwork/co-founder
  • I discovered breathwork through my yoga practice. At first, I found it challenging, especially since I have always had difficulties with my lungs. When I began to understand the relationship between breath, the nervous system, and mind-body work, everything clicked. I realised how simple breathing techniques could influence stress, mood, and relaxation, and breathwork quickly became my most powerful tool for self-regulation and healing.

  • Calm, emotive, inward-focused

  • New York State of Mind – Billy Joel

  • Walking, paying attention to the moment and what I can see, a Hyde Park stroll before my work day has been my favourite ritual.

That and some good retail therapy…

  • Unfiltered rap music, the louder the better.

  • That we all carry our own things, and without the tools to process them, they slowly build up and fill our reservoir. The body holds what the mind cannot resolve, and over time that accumulation shows up as tension, reactivity, or disconnection. This is why I am so passionate about this work, so we can all live more present, full, and purposeful lives.

  • I got into Pilates initially to help with chronic back pain I had been experiencing for years, and was amazed at how quickly, with consistent Pilates, I was finally pain-free. I fell in love with the control and precision of Pilates, and how enjoyable it was. I studied my Pilates certification purely for my own knowledge, but once I had taught a few classes to others, I fell in love with teaching, and 4+ years later, I haven't looked back. Pilates gives me stability and strength to go about my days without the chronic back pain I used to have. My favourite thing about teaching Pilates is all the wonderful people I meet and friendships I make along the way.

  • Fun, creative & challenging

  • Anything by Rihanna or The Weeknd

  • Spending time in nature. I love a sunset ocean swim or a walk amongst the trees.

  • Laying in the sun with a good book for way too long.

  • You are always stronger and more capable than you think you are (on and off the mat).

  • I discovered breathwork by accident in 2021 during a day trip to Rottnest Island. After an hour session on the beach with my friend Meg, I was amazed by how calm yet energised I felt, and I was instantly hooked. Since then, breathwork has become a daily practice that has transformed every part of my life. I’ve always loved movement , and Pilates has been a natural extension of that passion. I use both movement and breathwork as medicine, and I love sharing them through my signature Burn & Breathe class.

  • Thoughtful, Intentional, Playful

  • Anything Fred Again or Olivia Dean.

  • Gratitude journal without a doubt!

  •  I have so many, but it’s got to be loco love chocolates.

  • Pilates shows me every day that I’m stronger than I think, both on and off the mat. Breathwork gives me perspective and reminds me how big the world is, how small my worries really are, and how deeply connected we all are. Together, they remind me I can do hard things and that I’m part of something much bigger.

  • I discovered it when I stood on the mat in my very first yoga class. Ever since then I’ve been passionate about the power and benefits of it and am constantly curious in the teachings of it.

  • Depends on the class. Most of my classes at the moment are much gentler, so Chill, slow, zen

  • Teardrops by Womack & Womack

  • I have many but the stand out - Breathwork. The breath is our reason for existence and without a steady breath life can feel out of balance.

  • Lindt dark choccy. Loco love not far behind.

  • Presence is wealth.

  • I never really felt at home in the gym, and traditional workouts never felt fun or something i “wanted” to do. On an overseas holiday I tried a Pilates class at the resort and was instantly hooked. When I came home, I jumped straight into reformer and never wanted to miss a class. Its added so much to my life I cant explain how much it helped my back pain and scoliosis, I used to see a chiropractor weekly, and since starting Pilates I haven’t needed an appointment in years. I loved it so much that I wanted to share how amazing it was with everyone, which led me to start instructing.

  • Fun, full-body, intentional.

  • “Rhythm Is a Dancer” – Snap.

(Anything from my fav movie - A night at the Roxbury)

  • Phone on flight mode at night and reading before bed.

  • That old school ’90s ice-cream cake. 🤣

  • It’s shown me how important it is to slow down and be intentional, in movement and in my everyday life.

  • I attended my first pilates class and walked away after the 45 minutes feeling like I had never before; connected to my body, challenged, present. I decided then and there that I wanted to make other people feel that same way. Fast forward five years, pilates is where I curate every class for the members to feel connected to their bodies, challenged, and present.

Pilates adds value to my life as a way for me to express my creativity as an instructor, and the space to return to myself as a student.

  • Challenging, flowy, meditative.

  • Body & Soul - Joeboy

  • Legs up on the wall for 10 minutes. Reboots me every time.

  • British true crime, pizza multiple times a week.

  • Pilates has taught me that how you do anything is how you do everything. When I push myself in class, I know I can push myself outside of the studio. When I am softer with myself in class, I know I need that outside of the studio too.

  • My personal journey first started with meditation when I was living abroad at the age of 15 and struggling with anxiety. Then I was introduced to the asana’s (postures) at 19 from the soccer club I was playing for to support with injuries. It’s taught me tools and techniques to regulate my nervous system, mind and body daily.

  • Spicy, Playful and Grounding

  • Anything Rufus or Fred Again.

  • Daily morning meditation and pranayama.

  • Cheesy Rom com’s.

  • That yoga is a consistent practice, you don’t just “finish or complete” yoga. To embody the true essence of yoga I believe it takes conscious effort and awareness daily and I feel I am always learning and growing the deeper my practice becomes off the mat. Everything is yoga.

  • I discovered breathwork at Vitality House while attending classes as a member and quickly fell in love with the practice. During a particularly challenging time in my life, breathwork became my anchor. Through consistent self-practice, I decided to pursue teacher training. I have since found a genuine passion for breathwork and supporting others in discovering its benefits.

  • Like a wave.

  • Good times by Jamie XX

  • Breathwork & Ocean dip.

  • Wine!

  • By controlling your breath, you can control your mind, your thoughts, and your emotions. And once you can do that, everything gets easier.

  • I found Yoga unexpectedly at a pretty low point in life. I was in a lot of physical pain from some old injuries and that had a huge impact on my mental health as well. A friend of mine at the time had just finished her teacher training and was offering classes for free to practice and share her teachings so I joined in and the rest is pretty much history!

Yoga gave me a space to treat my body and mind (& others around me) with more compassion, acceptance and care.

A practice where i can be disciplined but not aggressive, strong but not rigid, flexible but not passive.

Over the past 12 years I've continued to study, practice and share the teachings of Yoga from my own embodied experiences and look forward to many more years of doing the same.

  • Curious, introspective and grounded.

  • Anything by Jungle or Badbadnotgood gets me smiling pretty quickly!

  • Early morning sunshine without fail. It's a non negotiable.

  • I don't really have one because I believe in enjoying life as much as possible. Everything in moderation and enjoy it with a big smile.

  • Yoga has taught me that our rituals don't have to be complicated or lengthy to have an effect on our physical and mental wellbeing. Consistency and sincerity in what we do and leads to change and growth over time.

KRISTINE RAGUS

  • I found Yoga by following a feeling I couldn’t name, the same way I approached most of my life, although now I know what that feeling really is.

What started as relaxation/stretching turned into alchemy. It added structure to my chaos, breath to my ambition, and a quiet, unshakable confidence that hits deeper than muscle.

  • Grounded. Slow. Hypnotic

  • I listen to a lot of Hip Hop/Trap/Rap that always makes me feel like a g.

Lil Wayne, Drake - She Will

  • Legit just walking, no phone though, no beats, no podcasts, just you steppin' outside (preferably in nature).

  • There’s. No. Such. Thing.

  • Control isn’t about holding tight; it’s about choosing when to let go. And sometimes the most dangerous thing you can do is TRUST yourself fully.

  • I discovered yoga at a time when my body and mind were craving a daily practice that allowed me to slow down, to value movement as an internal journey rather than something purely external. What began as a physical practice gradually became a path of self-inquiry. As my understanding of myself has deepened, my practice and teaching have evolved organically alongside it. Today, yoga is the anchor of my life. It grounds me and brings me home to myself each and every day.

  • Grounding, devotional and truthful.

  • Witchoo by Durand Jones & The Indications!

  • Putting my feet in the earth and sitting in the sunlight first thing upon waking! Followed by a few minutes of lymphatic massage.

  • Ceremonial cacao...or any 100% dark chocolate for that matter...consumed in abundance.

  • Yoga has taught me that everything, including us, is a manifestation of the Divine. Each of us are born with a spiritual blueprint, perfectly housed in the body we’ve been given to carry out what we are here to do. Through this lens, I began to see trials and tribulations differently - not as obstacles, but as invitations to ask where I might be living out of alignment with my true self. Life now feels devotional in its entirety. Every movement is an act of devotion, a way of knowing myself more deeply and relating more consciously to the world around me. I move through life asking: how can I live in greater alignment with myself and with nature?

ANATASCIA BIJOU

  • I’d practised yoga on and off for years, but I always felt this pull to go deeper. That’s what led me into my teacher training, and honestly, it opened up a whole new world for me. Yoga has added so much to my life: more awareness, more calm, more understanding of myself. It’s such a beautiful spiritual practice, and I’m still learning from it every single day.

  • Warm, inviting and inclusive.

  • Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen, especially if you’re in the car alone & can have a full-blown karaoke session.

  • Slow mornings. Giving yourself a peaceful moment to check in before the day actually begins. It doesn’t need to be anything dramatic, just no screens, a quiet moment to prioritise yourself, and choosing to direct your energy where it feels good.

  • Chocolate, especially a sweet treat after dinner.

  • It has definitely taught me “the art of noticing” - the signals my body gives me before my mind catches up.
